This is an interesting question for many reasons. However, I will first answer the question about my name and the author’s name I use for my books.

I was given the name Louise Z. Minor at birth. And as we all know, a woman of my age, no, I’m not telling what the number is. After all, age is only a number.

Back to my name, once I married, my last name changed to Louise Z. Pelzl. I’m proud to say I like my last name. With a name like mine, people seem to remember me. I am not sure if it’s me or the name or both. However, I hope this is a good thing. The problem is no one, and I mean no one can pronounce it. I have even had people point out a vowel is missing.

When I started writing, I wanted to use my name, the name I was given. So I am using my middle initial and my maiden name. My husband totally understands. At least he says he does.
